Alex Gibson received his B.F.A. in Studio Art from Washington State University, and his M.F.A. in Pictorial Art from San Jose State University. Gibson is an interdisciplinary artist whose current work explores the grey area between environmental and interpreted existence as well as how individual psychological filters affect the larger, collective concepts of history and truth.Simple mechanisms, low-tech projections, and other forms of trickery serve to emphasize these reality-constructing processes and how they factor into the creation of one’s own individual reality. Gibson currently lives and maintains a studio in the Pacific Northwest.
